GARCIA CALLE, Diana Flor; CHELE DELGADO, Santiago José e LEON VELEZ, Ruth María. Problem-based learning and digital tools: enhancing textual comprehension in secondary education. Luz [online]. 2025, vol.24 Epub 15-Mar-2025. ISSN 1814-151X.
Contemporary education is moving towards the personalization of learning, focusing on the active assimilation, updating and practical application of knowledge throughout life. This study examines the relevance of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) combined with digital tools to enhance textual comprehension in high school students, specifically in ninth and tenth grade. Through descriptive documentary-type research, this active methodology is explored in depth, based on the reflective contextualization of the arguments found, also using the methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, to explore how these approaches improve comprehension skills. The findings indicate that the integration of PBL and the use of digital tools not only fosters textual comprehension skills, but also activates the learning process, demonstrating that this methodological combination significantly enhances text comprehension in secondary education.
