The stable parts of the curves P-V and Q-V can be calculated based on the conventional power flows. In this paper the implementation of a static method is presented for the analysis of the tension stability. The developed methodology considers the variations of the load with tension and it allows determining the load margin from an operation point of the system to the collapse of tension and obtain the unstable part of the P-V curve for variable loads with the voltage. Two methods were implemented to determine load margin and also offers the possibility to determine the limits of transfer for the main elements of the Electric Power System. The program also allows the realization of a modal analysis showing the main elements of the system that contribute to the tension collapse. The methodology was tested with IEEE 39 nodes test systems.
