CARBONELL MORALES, Tania y SALGADO ALVAREZ, Ibis. Desiccant cooling system to decrease energy consumption in Restaurant study case. Energética [online]. 2016, vol.37, n.1, pp.55-62. ISSN 1815-5901.
In this paper the possibility of using a cooling system with a desiccant wheel for air treatment of different areas of the case study restaurant is shown. This facility is classified as high consumer of energy, making it necessary to study new alternatives for air conditioning allowing humidity control and energy saving. The literature review conducted on cooling systems with desiccant wheel technology was currently being studied and used as an alternative to saving energy and protecting the environment in the field of air treatment. The desiccant cooling system proposed is fundamentally for a desiccant wheel of silica gel, an energy conservative wheel and a heat exchanger. With the new cooling system electricity demand decreases and significant savings of about 11802 CUC are forecasted only in annual electricity consumption
