Abstract

ARIAS CASTANEDA, Julio Marcelo; GUERRA HERNANEDEZ, Lazaro; MARTINEZ GARCIA, Antonio Alberto  and  TORRES BREFFE, Orlys Ernesto. Better Strategies for Frequency Control in the Interconnected System Ecuador- Colombia: Área Ecuador. Energética [online]. 2017, vol.38, n.1, pp.12-24. ISSN 1815-5901.

Results obtained via concentrate model of interconnected Ecuador-Colombia Electric System justify selection of better strategies for frequency control in AGC Ecuador area via BIAS settings, which fulfill frequency and active power interchange deviations, fixed by CPS1 and CPS2 NERC’s criteria (Control Performance Standards of North American Electric Reliability Council USA) are obtained. Control non linearity’s introduced by dead bands, limits and other factors during primary and secondary control of frequency are considerate

Keywords : dead band; bias; primary control; secondary control; frequency dynamic.
