The investigation carried out the analysis of the online database of the functional dynamic mechanical system of the HYUNDAI 1.7 MW internal combustion engine, located at the Bayamo power generation plant. Describing the installed monitoring system, using the supervision, control and data acquisition system (SCADA), the multivariate principal component analysis (PCA) technique was applied in the period 2015 - 2019 to determine the influence of the parameters-symptoms in the variability of dynamic mechanical behavior, this being the objective of the research. The most relevant variables analyzed are: radiator inlet water pressure, high temperature water pressure, low temperature water pressure and water pressure at the radiator outlet, these being the ones that obtain the greatest system variability. Identifying 4 main components, resulting in the most variability related to the behavior of the team studied.
