Abstract
DIAZ ROLLER, Yenisel et al. Analysis of electromagnetic interference generated by medical equipment in a neonatal intensive care unit. Energética [online]. 2021, vol.42, n.2, pp.61-68. Epub June 29, 2021. ISSN 1815-5901.
The interference in the neonatal intensive care area is mainly due to the crowding of medical equipment that the patient must count on to save his life. The objective of this work is to analyze the behavior of the magnetic field generated by medical equipment, according to its placement and quantity, in a neonatal care area. To carry it out, a gaussmeter was used, following a measurement methodology used by this team in previous research. It was obtained as a result that the electromagnetic environment of the area complies with the recommendations of the International Commissions on non-ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), but not with the limits established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for electromagnetic compatibility. Recommendations were issued to reduce these values, concluding that the separation between equipment is the most recommended and effective method.
