Abstract

This article presents the results obtained in the replacement of the lighting system of a public office building with more efficient technologies, in addition to the incorporation of a photovoltaic solar park that contributes to generate some of the energy by renewable sources. Its objective is to assess the replacement of the current existing systems in the building that are high consumers of electricity, by efficient technologies in the use of energy to reduce the electricity consumption of the building. For them, theoretical methods such as the analysis and synthesis of the information and the historical-logical, as well as empirical methods such as descriptive statistics, as well as the updated bibliographic and documentary review on energy efficiency in buildings were used. With the proposals to changing technologies, it was demonstrated that it is possible to achieve a reduction in the electricity consumption of the property by 17% compared to current consumption.
