Abstract

VELAZQUEZ PUPO, Roxana  and  VALDES ZALDIVAR, Enrique Ernesto. System for Passive Filters characterization using Virtual Instrumentation. EAC [online]. 2014, vol.35, n.3, pp. 76-89. ISSN 1815-5928.

This paper presents the design of an automatic system used by university students in order to perform electrical circuit´s labs. The system is a virtual instrument and allows the passive filters characterization. The hardware is composed by a signal generator, a power supply, a data acquisition board, a personal computer and a module of 8 passive filters. The software, developed in LabVIEW 2011, perform the signal's processing associated to the filter module in order to display the diagram of the frequency response. The system results are compared with the results obtained using traditional measurement instruments, which validates the tool designed. To conclude, the experiences obtained by a 3th year Biomedic's career students group of the ISPJAE in an automated laboratory practice using the designed application are mentioned.
