Resumen

VALDES ABREU, Juan C.; STABLE SANCHEZ, Yohadne  y  CIMINO QUINONES, Luis. Antenna MOXON for earth sattions of meterogical satellites of it orbits polar. EAC [online]. 2015, vol.36, n.1, pp.79-94. ISSN 1815-5928.

One of the tools of the meteorologist's current work, is the information that is captured by satellites from an orbit in the space around of the Earth. Due to that, the Meteorology benefits with the existence of satellites in low orbits that cross on the equator and through the terrestrial poles, sending images continually in digital format of parts of the Earth. These images contribute with important meteorological data, that allow to carry out the forecast of the time, with the corresponding influence in the economy of the countries. These systems are supported by equipment of high constructive quality that facilitates images with high resolution. This work bases its content fundamentally on the analysis of the parameters for the construction of an antenna for the development of a Receiving Hearth Station that allows to make the reception of signals of meteorological satellites of polar orbits in the band of 137 MHz.

Palabras clave : antenna Moxon; meteorological satellites; receiving hearth station.
