At the beginning of a scientific research, the formulation of the scientific problem is the first shortcoming of an investigator. Proposing the scientific problem consists in forming and organizing the research ideas using and delimiting the knowledge that exists from the science. Whenever the problem is more exact, its solution is closer. This article describes a methodological proposal to formulate scientific problems with the use of the social networks analysis and UCINET 6 software, available in Internet. The purpose of this methodology is to rank the object of study in a specific problematic situation and to define the scientific problem. The methodology is considered attainable and viable to any investigator. The article illustrates a real case of investigation of the authors about the management control in Sancti Spiritus enterprises.
