The successful implementation of a Quality Management System according to the requirements of ISO 9001 in Project Management depends on the knowledge of managers, specialists and external consultants on the particularities that characterize this type of organization. Precisely the objective of this article is to show how by designing and implementing a procedure, was achieved in stages and steps where necessary integrate, the distinguishing features of the Management Project with the requirements of ISO 9001, to meet the requirements of the Business Improvement process regarding Quality Management Systems for Cuban organizations apply both approaches. The application of the procedure enabled the design, implementation and certification of quality management system in the ESI-DIP Trasvases.
