Abstract

To know availability and reliability problems of the medical equipment, of the technological systems, and the operating room is indispensable to offer a sure and efficient hospital service. It is objective of the present work to show a methodology applied in five hospitals, for to bring forth the main deficiencies of the maintenance management, it is shown the implementation of the methodology, the pattern mathematical employee and the results. For their organization the used methodology takes some principles of the ISO 19011:2002, it leans in the structure of the maintenance function with the objective that they are not empty spaces without evaluating. To guarantee acceptable levels of accuracy experts' methods they are used in the definition of the value of the functional areas. The database is obtained in the own facilities by means of interviews, revision of documents and observation of the processes. The results indicate what the things are making correctly in 26,57% in the studied facilities. The application of the methodology has allowed identifying the main problems of the function maintenance.
