Abstract

DIAZ-HERNANDEZ, Yusdel; FIOL-ZULUETA, Alberto  and  ARZOLA-RUIZ, José. Modelling of continuos casting steel during first cooling system with curve mold. Ingeniería Mecánica [online]. 2014, vol.17, n.1, pp.90-97. ISSN 1815-5944.

In the process of primary cooling in the continuous casting of Steel there are physical transformations that affect directly the quality of the final product. The mathematical models that explain this phenomenon cannot be applied to different installations because the variables involved in the process are different. In this research, a physical-statistical model was obtained through multiple and successive regression for the flow of water which is necessary in this complex process. For the modeling the variables of operations in the cured cooling systems were taken into account as well as the statistical validation in conditions of exploitation in real time. The model permitted to predict the behavior of the variables with sufficient precision.

Keywords : cooling; solidifications; continuous casting; modeling; steelmaking.
