In this work is proposed a mechanical testing bench to simulate real conditions of axial and radial load in 6005zz bearings. The designed device is used to obtain the fault vibration patterns for the cooling system's electro-fans on the distributed generation substations with Hyundai motors (2,5 MW). Angular velocity, bearing temperature and operating time were considered critical variables in this study. Shock pulse method was used as vibration analysis method. The obtained results shown that the 6005zz bearings are not suitable due to the axial load of the electro-fan. In order to extend useful time of the electro-fans, the use of 32005x bearings was recommended.
