PERDOMO PADILLA, Daniel A.; MIR LABRADA, Victor M.; RODRIGUEZ MATIENZO, Jorge Marciano e DIAZ HERNANDEZ, Yusdel. Aerodynamic analysis of 2017 Peugeot Partner vehicle under different mobility conditions. Ingeniería Mecánica [online]. 2024, vol.27, n.3, pp. 11-18. Epub 24-Mar-2024. ISSN 1815-5944.
This study presents a numerical aerodynamic analysis of the 2017 electric Peugeot Partner Tepee. The primary objective is to determine the vehicle’s drag coefficient and evaluate the impact of different configurations, such as window positions, on its aerodynamic performance. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques were employed to simulate the airflow around the vehicle, analyzing velocity vectors, recirculation zones, and the resulting aerodynamic forces. The findings indicate a 3,057 % difference in the drag coefficient between the model with closed windows and the one with open windows, underscoring the importance of aerodynamics in enhancing the energy efficiency of electric vehicles. Additionally, experimental validation was performed using the Coast Down test, confirming the accuracy of the numerical model. This study contributes to the aerodynamic design and optimization of electric vehicles, supporting their sustainable and efficient development.
