This study is part of the project “Pedagogical and vocational professional orientation for achieve pedagogical career” that is accomplished in Center of pedagogical studies for general education in the University “Hermanos Saíz Montes de Oca” from Pinar del Río in Cuba. The authors start on exposing the main studies dealing the roll of art in professional orientation, otherwise some thematic axis are analyzed in order to include the approach of pedagogic professional orientation taking into account Cuban pedagogy. The mains methods applied are documental analysis and conceptual cartography with the objective to identify the main characteristics of artistic approach of pedagogic professional orientation. Some conclusions are arrived that evidence the reach of the goal.
