El desarrollo de habilidades como parte de la formación integral del maestro primario es hoy uno de los principales retos en la formación inicial. En particular, potenciar el desarrollo de la habilidad ubicación temporal deviene en problema de aprendizaje, al mismo tiempo que problema profesional para lograr que los maestros primarios puedan comprender el pasado, entender el presente y proyectar el futuro, con modos de actuación coherentes con las exigencias sociales. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo exponer los resultados del estudio realizado sobre el estado actual de este proceso de desarrollo de la habilidad ubicación temporal con enfoque profesional en la carrera Licenciatura en Educación Primaria, en la Universidad de Pinar del Río. Para ello se utilizaron métodos como el histórico-lógico, el análisis documental, la entrevista a profesores, encuesta a maestros en formación y la observación a clases, los que permitieron constatar el estado actual de dicho proceso en la formación inicial del maestro primario, tomando como base metodológica el método dialéctico-materialista. De la sistematización realizada, fue posible conocer que el tema ha sido poco abordado en el contexto particular de este profesional en el pregrado. En el devenir histórico de los diversos planes de estudio aún no se ha logrado la apropiación de la estructura interna de esta habilidad por parte de los estudiantes, lo que limita de modo significativo la pertinencia del proceso formativo e incide de forma negativa en que los estudiantes se apropien de contenidos históricos y desarrollen el modo de razonar histórico.

This paper aims to present the results of the study on the current status of this process of skill development temporary location with professional focus on career Bachelor in Elementary Education at the University of Pinar del Río. To do methods such as historical and logical, document analysis, interviews with teachers, survey of teachers training and observation classes were used, which led to evidence the current state of the process in the initial training of primary teacher, taking as methodological basis dialectic-materialistic method. Systematization was made possible to know that the topic has been little discussed, in the particular context of this professional at the undergraduate level. In the historical development of the various curricula has not yet achieved the appropriation of the internal structure of this ability by students, which limits significantly the relevance of the training process, affecting negatively the students take ownership of historical content and develop the historical way of reasoning.
