The demographic ageing has transformed the social context in the majority of the nations and requires a quite large number of researches, which focuses on diverse issues that assume it since the multidimensional of the society, as a new and complex phenomenon, that will modify the agenda of public politics targeted to adult old population. The family plays, in this network, a predominant role in the provision of support to the old people. That is why; the aim of the present work is to demonstrate the several actions that the Cuban society has developed, to strengthen the capacity of the families to attend some challenges when any of their members is an elderly. Their development begins with the general hypothesis that the family itself will not respond to the multiple impacts alongside the process of population ageing, and needs a careful social attention. There is no doubt that at social level; a review of the meaning of ageing has being taking place in the conscience of people in the country. It doesn't mean that everything is solved, but there is a higher sensibility on the problem and it is work out in order to face a situation that already exist in the country, and will be increase in the next years. The new experiences implemented -although they are not enough-, have evidenced benefits -without expensive costs- in the quality of life, of the old people and of their families.
