The research is about the organization, structure and development of urban agriculture in Cuba. This kind of agriculture is backed by an insurance component that supports the various forms it assumes in the country. The research focuses on the "organopónico" like one of the modalities with higher performance, developed with ecological techniques in the province of Havana, an urban territory. The behavior of these organopónicos in the territory and their impact on the community as a factor in local development is considered.
