Abstract

It turns out very important to make a study of mortality in Havana following the aim of explaining demographic behavior of population in Havana. A recent analysis of this variable data during the lasts years seems to confirm the constancy of an overmortality of the capital´s population, the deceleration of its decreasing rhythms and a sex differential of the born life expectancy significantly higher than the average observed in Cuba. One of the main objectives of this study is to contribute to the sensitization and training of the specialists in the municipalities and the province, to incorporate them in the decision making process at different levels.
