The work offers an interdisciplinary and integrative perspective on the issue of adolescent fertility in Cuba, specifically on those psychosocial factors that can be explaining the reproductive behavior. In this sense, adolescent fertility in Cuba, and its particularities, can be explained from the perspective of the systemic functioning of the social situation of development and its components, in interrelation with the elements of the macro and meso level. The mixed approach of the research, using quantitative and qualitative techniques, enabled triangulation as an integration method, case studies in Campechuela and San Miguel del Padrón, and the rest of the information.
