This paper not only describes the origin, utility and perspectives of the economic spaces as a concept, the one which was developed by the author and his working group; but also its heuristic possibilities and its theoretical strength as a tool for the best understanding of current contradictions in the Cuban society and of the challenges which face its population, particularly its labor resources.
