El presente es el resultado de un estudio más profundo sobre las principales regularidades sociopsicológicas y económicas de la comunidad de españoles residentes permanentes reconocidos por las leyes cubanas entre 2011 y 2016; además se identifican rasgos característicos de dicha comunidad antes del año 1959 y se establece una comparación evolutiva de sus variaciones.

El análisis se realizó abordando las esferas: política, social, psicológica, económica, jurídica, migratoria, cultural y estadística, con la finalidad de conocer cuáles fueron sus tendencias, composición, comportamiento y características y carácter de la comunidad mencionada en el proceso de asentamiento en el país.

Se identificaron las principales causas que propiciaron la forma en que evolucionó y se desarrolló la comunidad de españoles desde 1900 hasta la actualidad, centrándose en el período 2011-2016, momento en que Cuba cambia su política migratoria y abre con ello una nueva etapa de relación entre Estado y migración.

En ello, jugaron un papel preponderante los cambios de gobiernos antes de 1959 y sus políticas sociales, así como las relaciones históricas con los Estados Unidos de América antes del triunfo de la Revolución cubana y durante el proceso revolucionario. Se comprueba que fue una migración matizada históricamente por una fuerte influencia e intereses políticos tanto cubanos como foráneos, los que desembocaron en la comunidad de españoles que hoy se encuentra asentada en Cuba.

This is the result of a more in-depth study of the main socio-psychological and economic regularities of the community of Spaniard permanent residents recognized by Cuban laws between 2011 and 2016; in addition, characteristic features of that community are identified before 1959 and an evolutionary comparison of its variations is established.

The analysis was carried out addressing the following areas: political, social, psychological, economic, legal, migratory, cultural and statistical, in order to know what were their trends, composition, behavior and characteristics and character of the community mentioned in the settlement process in the country.

The main causes that led to the evolution and development of the Spaniard community from 1900 to the present were identified, focusing on the period 2011-2016, when Cuba changed its migration policy and opened a new relationship stage with it between State and migration.

A preponderant role played in this, the changes of governments before 1959 and their social policies, as well as the historical relations with the United States of America before the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and during the revolutionary process. It is verified that it was a migration historically nuanced by a strong influence and political interests both Cuban and foreign, which put the freckle with the community of Spaniards that today is settled in Cuba.
