The arrival of COVID-19 impacted our daily lives. With the research reported in this article, the aim was to identify positive and negative perceptions of the of the pandemic during the period of confinement. The perceptions of events and people are characterized, with positive and negative significance by 478 Cubans living in Cuba and abroad. The main findings show that it was a period of discoveries, not all negative, from which we can learn, to enhance well-being. The link of Cuban families between different shores, and the presence of Cuba in the daily lives of those who doesn’t live in Cuba.
