This research characterizes the demographic aging in the Artemisa province in the year 2018. The analysis is built from the calculation of demographic indicators that allow the stablishment of an interrelation among ages. It emphasizes in Alzheimer`s disease as the most frecuent type of dementia in Cuba. In this research the San Antonio de los Baños municipality is used as an small unit of social apprehension in which the demographic indicators may show specific figures and dynamics. The information sources used are of secondary nature and inlude: Demographic Annuals, Statistical Annuals of Public Health, Studies and Data of the Cuban Population and the Report Population's Aging. Cuba and their Territories.
