The proposed article focuses on establishing the epistemological routes and relational systems in which the social construction of school violence in Cuba has been configured, in order to contribute to its visibility and understanding. For its development, from a sociological perspective, the studies and ministerial ordinances of educational policy are taken as a sample, from which its existence is illustrated, directly and indirectly. From the results of the research, we point out how school violence has been structured according to reductionist interpretations that tend to bias it towards abuse between equals, nuanced by power relations. Likewise, a linear causality approach predominates in its theoretical conceptions favorable to ignoring the participation of various relational systems (cultural, school, political, normative, social, etc.) in its emergence, together with a reiterated discourse, and sometimes, distant of its sociohistorical aspects of construction.
