LOPEZ VERDECIA, Yannet. Scientific results of the study of occupational mobility in relation to agriculture in Cuba. Rev Nov Pob [online]. 2025, vol.21, n.41, pp. 1-26. Epub 15-Jan-2025. ISSN 1817-4078.
Occupational mobility is understood as the social movements that subjects describe in their work trajectories within the occupational structure, conditioned by structural transformations and/or individual motivations. The process configures changes (reproduction or reconfiguration) in the social structure in coordination with other levels of life. Mobility in relation to agrarian sociology allows us to explain the complexities that define the agrarian from its system of relationships, sociocultural and historical conditions. At the same time, it explains the contradictions that slow down its development through the changes that the subjects operate, especially the young people as agent changed in the revitalization of socioeconomic processes. The objective of this work is to analyze the scientific results on occupational mobility in relation to agriculture for the establishment of study guidelines. For this article, the author assumes agriculture as a social space of interaction with territorial anchoring; whose development is around the mode of agrarian production and demarcates an occupational structure with its own interrelationships. Its dynamics define the identity of the participating subjects in line with the transformations of social life in a given space-time. The methodology used is the review and analysis of documents, a tool that allows us to verify the existence of a heterogeneous agrarian structure, marked by a complex system of social relations with structural changes produced by multiple factors. The study contributes to the understanding of the effectiveness of policies in their work for the development of the agricultural sector.
