Cuba did not constitute exception rule regarding outstanding work of medical personalities. The evidence in each period of national history shows that development always were public health professionals at different times. Medical education was present in our country since the beginning of the colonial period wore on for different periods with an evolutionary character, experiencing essential modifications in the course. You could not talk about Cuban medical education without the presence along the history of major medical - educators responsible for the different systems engineer teachings. Fidel llizástigui was Professor Dupuy, paradigm of clinical sciences, and more than that, the most significant teacher of Cuban medicine. That is why a review of 14 references were made in order to argue the importance of the work of Professor Dupuy Ilizátigui depending on the training of health professionals.
