Systemic lupus erythematosus is a systemic and chronic inflammatory disease that is characterized by a wide range of clinical manifestations secondary to the inflammatory process maintained as a consequence of affecting the functioning of the immune system. These manifestations can affect the osteomyoarticular system (articular manifestations), or present in any other organ or organ system (extra-articular manifestations). Sometimes the onset of the disease is marked by the presence of systemic manifestations of the disease. The objective of this research is to present the clinical case of a 28-year-old male patient, who begins with neurological manifestations that allow, initially, clinical suspicion and later, the definitive diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus with a neurological component. The presence of headaches and a tonic-clonic seizure, with positive antibodies and consumption of complement were the main components that allowed confirming the diagnosis of the disease. It is considered a necessary case to share since it provides important elements for the diagnosis and initial treatment of neurolupus, carrying out a comprehensive approach to the patient by a multidisciplinary group. In the case that is reported, the expression of exacerbation of the disease was the presence of the clinical manifestations of bruxism with trismus included. The inflammatory process can affect any anatomical structure of the human economy.
