ABSTRACT This study was carried out in the Basic Education career of the Technical University of Machala with the purpose of identifying the criteria of the students in relation to the teaching work deployed by their teachers and socializing these beliefs. The methodological strategy adopted responds to the quantitative-qualitative paradigm, based on the methods: phenomenological, bibliographic review, analytical-synthetic and statistical; The information was obtained through in-depth interview techniques and the questionnaire, applied to the 138 enrolled in this race that allowed to conclude that in general the teachers are characterized by the organization of their classes, the patience shown during the explanation of the content , The clarity of their explanations and answers to the questions of the students, the attention to the student's difficulties, the usefulness of the didactic tasks assigned and the mastery of the contents.
