The present article responds to the need of increasing the preparation of the teachers who teach the technical subjects of the Accounting specialty in the Technical and Professional Education Centers (ETP) in Cienfuegos. This work presents theoretical considerations about the process of professional improvement of these professionals, from the study and evaluation of literature related to the subject, which can contribute to the design of new strategies for overcoming, based on existing trends in the national scope. It takes into account the existing need to overcome teachers. The impact is essentially of a social nature because of the importance of the role played by the Cuban University in the ongoing training of the ETP teacher. Its practical application is conceived through actions of improvement that reach the teachers through courses of improvement, training and counseling. Its effectiveness was validated through the application of the criterion of experts and users which evidences the validity of the proposal.
