Las reflexiones acerca del rendimiento académico poseen diferentes niveles de análisis, pero existe consenso en cuanto a la relevancia e implicaciones que tiene en él factores asociados a las condiciones que ofrece la familia para asegurar el proceso de formación como estudiante. Esta posición, explica la prioridad que se le concede en este trabajo a las implicaciones que llega a tener el maltrato infantil en el entorno familiar en el rendimiento académico, al develar las casusa, tipología y secuelas que estas prácticas tienen el desarrollo cognitivo y emocional del niño y sus implicaciones en los resultados del aprendizaje. Desde esta posición se presentan los resultados de una investigación que se asumen como base para la reflexión y toma de decisiones para corregir, compensar y evitar la propagación de actuaciones como estas en Ecuador.

Reflections on academic performance have different levels of analysis, but there is consensus regarding the relevance and implications of factors associated with the conditions offered by the family to ensure the training process as a student. This position explains the priority that is given in this work to the implications of child abuse in the family environment in academic performance, by revealing the causes, typology and sequels that these practices have the cognitive and emotional development of the child and its implications for learning outcomes. From this position, we present the results of an investigation that is assumed as a basis for reflection and decision making to correct, to compensate and to prevent the propagation of actions like these in Ecuador.
