En el Ecuador, el aprovechamiento de la docencia universitaria, especialmente en las Ciencias Jurídicas, para transversar hacia otras ciencias el conocimiento desde las distintas perspectivas de la protección ambiental, juega un papel primordial acorde a las normativas educativas y jurídicas existentes. El trabajo tiene como finalidad describir los principales elementos teóricos que se abordan desde la asignatura de derecho laboral para formar la conciencia de protección medioambiental y complementar el cumplimiento de los objetivos de la asignatura dentro del Plan Curricular. Se utiliza un estudio descriptivo correlacional, donde los métodos teóricos fundamentales son: el exegético-analítico, el doctrinal y el histórico lógico, así como técnica la revisión bibliográfica. Los resultados fundamentales están asociados a resultados parciales de investigación realizada como parte del Proyecto de investigación: Fundamentos jurídico-metodológicos para la conformación de un sistema de pagos por servicios eco sistémicos (SPSE) en bosques ecuatorianos.

In Ecuador, the use of university teaching specifically in the area of Legal Sciences, to transverse other sciences, knowledge of the alternative perspectives of environmental protection, plays a key role according to existing educational and legal regulations. The objective of the work is to describe the main theoretical elements that are addressed from the subject of labor law for the formation of awareness of environmental and complementary protection. The fulfillment of the objectives of the subject within the Curricular Plan. A correlational descriptive study is used, where the fundamental theoretical methods are the exegetical-analytical, the doctrinal and the logical historical, as well as the bibliographic technique. The fundamental results are associated with partial results of research carried out as part of the research project: Legal-methodological foundations for the conformation of a payment system for ecosystem services (SPSE) in Ecuadorian forests.
