Modern society claims for a new pedagogical model, to have the students develop complex problems solution skills, to be adapted to changes that are produced in society and the curriculum has to be innovated in. According to the tendencies in science teaching, there is a need of change regarding curriculum that allows it to produce to integrate in the teaching-learning process, taking into account for instruction and problem solution, according to the context and tendencies world-wide that are important to prepare young students. In Natural Sciences, the regarding problems in basic education, the students should be taken to create new statements, stimulate their interest to find solutions, state hypothesis and to do experiments that motivate them to answer enquiries to develop their thought. The research deals with Project Based Learning (PBL), to solve the realization theory-practice integration to solve complex problems. Some reflections are offered on solving complex problems for the Colombian context, that connect students` interests and knowledge.
