En el presente trabajo se conceptualizan los fundamentos teóricos y los elementos que abordan la formación de valores en estudiantes del nivel medio superior. Se detallan las tendencias y características en el proceso de su formación, la fundamentación teórica sobre los valores, la clasificación de estos y los rasgos que lo caracterizan y las definiciones dadas por diferentes autores relacionadas con la formación de Valores en dichos estudiantes.El proceso de formación de los estudiantes del nivel medio superior ha transitado por distintas etapas, no exentas de problemas y limitaciones, pero con un aval científico y de resultados, en ascenso permanente, que han elevado considerablemente el nivel de enseñanza de dicho estudiante, asegurando la adquisición de competencias específicas que le permiten transitar hacia una sociedad cada vez inmersa en las nuevas formas de comunicación, brindando a los egresados del nivel medio superior la capacidad de participar activamente en los procesos sociales. El análisis de la literatura revisada permitió precisar la formación de valores como primicia fundamental en la educación del nivel medio suprior.

In the present work, the theoretical foundations and the elements that address the formation of values in upper secondary students are conceptualized. The tendencies and characteristics in the process of its formation are detailed, the theoretical foundation of values, the classification of them and the characteristics and definitions given by different authors related to the formation of Values ​​in these students. The process of training students of the upper secondary level has gone through different stages, not exempt from problems and limitations, but with a scientific endorsement and results, in permanent rise, which have considerably raised the level of teaching of the students, ensuring the acquisition of specific competences that allow them to move towards a society that is immersed in new forms of communication, offering graduates of the upper middle level the ability to participate actively in social processes. The analysis of the reviewed literature made it possible to specify the formation of values as a fundamental scoop in education at the secondary level.
