In the present article theoretical - methodological considerations are offered for the treatment of textual comprehension didactics from the Didactic discipline of the Spanish language and literature (DLEL). From the suggested procedure; it is demonstrated that textual comprehension becomes a functional component of our language that interrelates with the analysis and construction of texts in the language and literature class with a cognitive, communicative and sociocultural approach. This procedure is also a didactic - methodological tool for the teacher of the discipline (DLEL) to implement it in their classes, also applicable to other disciplines of Higher Education.
