El presente trabajo hace un intento por diagnosticar el estado real de la problemática a nivel de las instituciones educativas Humberto Jordán Mazuera y La Buitrera, ubicadas en el municipio de Santiago de Cali Colombia, sobre su interés frente a la iniciativa de emplear nuevas alternativas metodológicas que permitan abordar dichos contenidos étnicos en el currículo vigente del área de Ciencias Naturales de Colombia, de forma que se tenga en cuenta la diversidad étnico-cultural. Los resultados de la investigación dejan ver de forma general, que hay buena aceptación a la propuesta de articular el contenido étnico al currículo de Ciencias Naturales, así como dicha propuesta en un primer acercamiento en el aula, mejoró el ambiente de aprendizaje, pues se logró una mayor participación de los estudiantes, quienes se mostraron altamente interesados por el aprendizaje bajo el empleo de esta metodología. Otro gran resultado es la aptitud positiva de docentes frente a la propuesta en su carácter didáctico que enriquece el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de Ciencias Naturales.

The present work makes an attempt to diagnose the real state of the problem at the level of educational institutions, Humberto Jordán Mazuera and La Buitrera, located in Santiago de Cali Colombia, about their interest in the initiative to use new methodological alternatives allow ethnic contents to be addressed in the current curriculum of the natural sciences area of Colombia, in order to take ethnic-cultural diversity into account. The results of the investigation show in a general, that there is good acceptance of the proposal to articulate the ethnic content to the natural sciences curriculum, as well as this proposal in a first approach in the classroom, it improved the learning environment, because it was achieved greater participation of students, who were highly interested in learning under the use of this methodology. Another great result is the positive aptitude of teachers compared to the proposal in its didactic nature that enriches the teaching-learning process of natural sciences.
