Ante el cambio climático existe el imperativo de contribuir a minimizar los daños, de ahí que es un imperativo formar el profesional que se necesita en el siglo XXI, que pueda influir consecuentemente en las acciones que se proyectan en los países, entre las que se encuentran en la República de Cuba, las de la Tarea Vida. Se presenta en este trabajo algunas de las actividades del proyecto de investigación que se desarrolla en la UCP‟ Enrique José Varona”, se encuentra asociado al Programa Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación: Problemas actuales del Sistema Educativo cubano. Se tiene como objetivo demostrar cómo se puede contribuir desde los proyectos de investigación al trabajo sostenido que en las universidades cubanas se desarrolla para dar cumplimiento a esta tarea del plan de estado. El estudio que se realiza es de alcance nacional aunque a partir de su divulgación en diferentes contextos puede ser un referente para otros países. Se desarrolla empleando el método de investigación -acción participativa. Dentro de los procedimientos que se desarrollan está la investigación, entrevista con especialistas, trabajo en comunidades. Sus resultados se evidencian mediante las actividades que se presentan, las que fueron asesoradas y previamente convenidas con especialistas de diferentes instituciones del país y del Centro de Estudio de Educación Ambiental de nuestra institución educativa.

Facing the climate change, there is the imperative to contribute to minimize damage, which is why it is imperative to train the professional needed in the 21st century, which can consequently influence the actions that are projected in the countries, among which are in the Republic of Cuba, those of the Life Task. This paper presents some of the activities of the research project being carried out at the PCU "Enrique José Varona". It is associated with the National Program of Science, Technology and Innovation: Current problems of the Cuban Educational System. The objective is to demonstrate how research projects can contribute to sustained work that in Cuban universities is developed to fulfill this task of the state plan. The study that is carried out is of national scope although from its disclosure in different contexts, it can be a reference for other countries. It is developed using the research method -a participatory action. Within the procedures that are developed is the research, interview with specialists, work in communities. Their results are evidenced by the activities that are presented, which were advised and previously agreed with specialists from different institutions of the country and the Environmental Education Study Center of our educational institution.
