El presente trabajo pretende abordar la Educación Física como un área de conocimiento, con la cual se pueden trabajar procesos de socialización y convivencia escolar, teniendo en cuenta los escenarios que, de manera más derterminante, influyen en ellas. Se parte de un breve análisis de la familia, la escuela y las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones (TIC) y su inlfuencia en la educación de los estudiantes de diferentes niveles de la Educación General en Colombia. Se ofrecen aspectos que, tomando en consideración los retos a los que se enfrenta la educación en la sociedad actual, pueden ser considerados para lograr una mejor convivencia escolar desde desde el área de la educación Física.

The present work tries to approach the Physical Education as an area of knowledge, with which can work processes of socialization and school coexistence, taking into account the scenes that, in a more dertermining way, influence in them. It splits of a brief analysis of the family, the school and the technologies of the information and the communications (TIC) and its inlfuence in the education of the students of different levels of the General Education in Colombia. This work offers aspects that, taking in consideration the challenges which the education faces in the current company, can be considered to achieve a better school coexistence from the area of the Physical education.
