Abstract

Contemporary studies on HIV-AIDS have paid special attention to the use of narrative and discursive strategies as part of patients' therapeutic itineraries. The objective of this article is to identify the potentialities of narrative resources such as life history in the treatment of HIV-AIDS and in the strengthening of citizenship. Among the Materials and methods were used Documentary reviews with disciplinary contributions of linguistics, anthropology and communication. The therapeutic impact of narrative as a cohesive device during the life trajectory of patients. The effective enjoyment of citizenship in people with HIV / AIDS is highly limited by the emergence of new social stigmas. For this, the narrative is presented as a device that ensures the collective expression of the disease after diagnosis.
