The current article provides readers with elements related with the implementation of a system of tasks to develop First Sight Translation (FST) in students majoring in English at the University of Cienfuegos. In the research, paramount elements related with the training process of these students are presented, and a task sample is provided, including the different stages for its application (orientation, implementation and control). The study is the result of a master thesis conducted to provide students of English Language major with the possibility of systematizing the inherent skills in the Interpreting process by fostering and developing FST as a skill.
