In Cuba, the commitment to ensure the protection of the environment and the rational use of natural resources is expressed, which is reinforced by Tarea Vida, an issue that undoubtedly merits the full exercise of research since the environment around us is in need of the support and intervention of each person or organization. The country's determination be expressed in the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba, approved in 2019 and Law No. 81 of 1997. A pedagogical experience is presented by a student of the Sociocultural Management for Development Career, who designed a proposal for actions to promote environmental management carried out in Cienfuegos, with the implementation of the Tarea VIDA from the university. The student research work, mean themselves as protagonists of their own professional training process. It was corroborated that with a guide for work practice and its investigative process, well-conceived, controlled and evaluated results can be satisfactory.
