This article is intended to characterize the development of the male rowing at the school games in the city of Cienfuegos in the period of the year 2008 to 2013, performing a logical analysis of the results obtained in this sport in the different national competitions in school youth categories. The research contributes to the rescue of the local sport historical memories, where it shows a variety of facts that being well studied and analyzed will affect and motivate the search for new information and documents that will lead to the display of the historical knowledge about the achievements of this sport in Cienfuegos as a paradigm of this town. Methods of theoretical and empirical level allowed to rescue the information of this valuable sport results. This sport is considered one of the bastions of the province.
