This paper analyzes the serious problems that Latin American countries are facing on such a controversial issue, which is affecting hundreds of families and their victims who will never forget from their minds having suffered in the way people exercise power. In the first part, a brief description is given of the most relevant philosophical, psychological and cultural aspects involved. The main objective of the research was to identify the functions of power that have allowed harassment within the university classrooms through specific objectives such as identifying statistics already taken to the literature regarding the presence of complaints, then establish the legal parameters or legal to the university environment and finally interweave the perceptions of a descriptive study on the form and modes of harassment. The study was descriptive to 384 students of the University of Guayaquil on gender equality and concluded that the procedure has not been sufficient for its eradication and prevention by recommending a special digital channel for complaints.
