Abstract

The process of integral evaluation of the student is considered one of the most complex tasks in Cuban higher education. The current improvement of the management system of the formation process need a change in terms of conception and in the style of developing this evaluative process, in order to amend some insufficiencies that affect the quality of the results. Precisely, this article has the objective of analyzing theoretical references that allow to enlarge the normative vision and to enrich, from the scientific point of view, the concept and the way of executing it, so that it works as a coherent system, with a suitable balance in their dimensions and oriented to contribute to the fulfillment of the objectives of each academic year. Only in this way it can become an expression of quality in the formation of a competent professional, engaged with the society and with the required levels of excellence.
