Counteracting the hegemony that attempts to establish globalization in multiple ways, devastating cultures, weakening identity and fragmented belonging seems to be a fundamental challenge of current education. The respectful cultural dialogue, the vindication of popular knowledge and the valuation of cultural heritage could find its treatment and enrichment in the educational look of local literature. However, it is on purpose to build a theoretical body of didactic dimension that allows to identify works, locate farmers and recognize aesthetic proposals in order to understand the cultural heritage of the community, recognize the popular imagination that flows in creation and resignify in the product artistic the value of the native as a fundamental instance of a world of everyday relationships that give us an account of the human condition, of the spiritualities that are woven in the living space and of the imaginary that defines both the environment and the subjects that cohabit there . Approaching the lives of the creators to understand the culture of our peoples and, from that place, reading their works to recognize us in their pages is definitely a pending task of education, for which, the contribution of literature will always be substantive.
