A lo largo de la historia ha ido avanzando la tecnología y con esta han realizado inventos como la televisión, radio y más tarde la Internet. En un inicio estos inventos no tenían ninguna relación, sin embargo, con los avances del internet y su mayoría difusión estos dos inventos, la televisión y el internet han relacionado de tal manera que se da paso a la IPTV. Hoy en día esta tecnología ha ido teniendo un gran crecimiento, es por esta razón que surge la investigación del funcionamiento de la tecnología y análisis de su implementación. En el presente proyecto se investigó sobre el funcionamiento de la televisión y su transición hacia la era digital. Por tal razón se vio la necesidad de realizar un diseño de una estación de radio y televisión digital, equipos que sean adecuados para el diseño y quienes a un futuro serán los encargados de brindar los servicios. También se realizó un estudio de las redes IP que son base fundamental del internet en la actualidad.

Throughout history technology has been advancing and with this they have made inventions such as television, radio and later the Internet. In the beginning, these inventions had no relation, however, with the advances of the internet and their diffusion, these two inventions, television and the internet have related in such a way that IPTV is given way. Nowadays this technology has been having a great growth, it is for this reason that the investigation of the operation of the technology and analysis of its implementation arises. This project investigated the operation of television and its transition to the digital era. For this reason, it was necessary to carry out a design of a digital radio and television station, equipment that is suitable for the design and who in the future will be responsible for providing the services. A study was also carried out of the IP networks that are the fundamental basis of the Internet today.
