The education of the personality of university students covers different aspects, one of them is the development of their cultural identity, which allows them to know their context and identify with it, which reinforces their sense of belonging to the nation, the region and the locality. However, nowadays the globalized context affects the loss of the peoples' identities, which affects their preparation, a situation that has been observed in the third and fourth level of the career of tourism and hotel companies, in UNIANDES, Ibarra, during the period corresponding to the school years 2016 - 2018. Whose objective: to socialize a proposal directed to the education of the personality of the university students, by means of the development of their cultural identity, to favor their integral formation. In its elaboration, research methods have been used, of the levels: theoretical and empirical, which have propitiated the conformation of the necessary foundations, the elaboration of the proposal and the conclusions. The main result obtained is a methodology to contribute to the education of the students' personality through the development of cultural identity, by linking the teaching-learning content of selected subjects with the socio-cultural context.
