The objective of the research was to characterize the prosocial behavior of adolescents with mild intellectual disabilities. 62 students from special education between 11 and 18 years old participated. Observation, semi-structured psychological interview and the Prosocial Behavior Scale are applied. High levels of prosociality are evident in the subjects studied. Empathy, sociability and respect are also high. However, leadership experiences low levels, characterized by difficulties in decision making, lack of creativity and initiative. As well as adequate self-concept and self-esteem. It is concluded that although the scientific literature, poses a decline in this behavior during adolescence. The results obtained allow us to conclude that prosociality is a distinctive feature in the adolescents studied.
