Abstract

The research responds to the objective: To develop an improvement program to strengthen the competences related to the development of critical thinking, formative evaluation, management of pedagogical and curricular theories and student learning in the teacher training program of Mathematics-Physics, 2020. 6 teachers were considered for the research with a qualitative approach, the questionnaires used were validated through the judgment of experts, with acceptable reliability by means of the Cronbach's Alpha method, some results were: Four modules of trends in mathematics education; of learning, teaching and curriculum theories; of critical thinking and formative evaluation and it was established as a conclusion: The improvement program was designed, implemented, developed and evaluated to strengthen the competencies related to the trends of mathematics education, development of critical thinking, formative evaluation, management of theories of learning, teaching and curricula.
